The Os battled from a goal down to secure a battling point at Rochdale on Saturday, just seven days after stunning Norwich in the FA Cup.
They are two points above the bottom four ahead of this weekend's visit of promotion-chasing Sheffield Wednesday and Chorley is in an upbeat mood.
"You can see the spirit is there," he said.
"It was evident at Norwich last week and it showed well again at Rochdale. The conditions were difficult and it came down to a battle of wills in the end."
