According to a report in today's "Daily Mail," a move for Orient to the new Olympic Stadium after 2012 is becoming more certain.
Quoting Barry Hearn as saying , "I think it's a certainty," the paper states that the deal for Orient would be similar to that which Manchester City have at the stadium used for the Commonwealth Games, with no capital charges falling on the club. This would leave Orient with considerable funds from the redevelopment of Brisbane Road, as well as a long term tenancy at the new 25,000 capacity stadium.
Legacy sport was a main undertaking to the International Olympic Committee and Lord Coe and Tessa Jowell will expand on this theme at a press conference today (26th).
